As is often the case, Maureen and I can be…..impatient when it comes to home improvements. We convinced ourselves that in order to put in a new electric panel, we needed to first remove the deck and install the patio we’ve wanted.

April 2024 update; As mentioned, we are…..impatient and decided we also needed to rip out all the bushes and re-landscape before the kitchen remodel for some reason. Adding photos to the end about that.

Whether or not it was necessary, we love the result.

The Plants

As I mentioned, we had an idea to continue the backyard makeover with new plants. It was a great experience, working with Maureen and the kids to pull out bushes, learn how to install irrigation and showing Odin how to plant new plants.
