Christmas 2023

Christmas 2023 was the first year Odin understood what all this joy (Craziness) is about, and the first Christmas we had with Baby Jude! Despite the craziness, it was one of the best Christmases we’ve had in a while and brought us a lot of joy.

Getting Ready for the Season

Learning from last year’s holiday season (note to self- do not move a toddler from a crib to bed two days before hosting Christmas), we decided to keep the home decorating light this year which really helped reduce the business and stress. Regardless, the house lights, tree and other decorations were great and made Maureen and I understand that holidays truly are for our kids now.

Christmas Eve

Maureen’s cousins Molly and Jeremy hosted their traditional Christmas eve which is always a great time. Lots of family, kids, laughing and games.

Christmas Day

Christmas day was…..great! Often one of the more stressful days of the year, we were actually able to relax and enjoy the day. My mom and Maureens mom were both here which was great, and Joel & Dana came over in the afternoon for presents and dinner.
