Well, you are in LUCK because increasing curb appeal is both (1) Very easy, and (2) scores MAJOR brownie points with the neighbors.

In the beginning….

There was an ugly house with bad landscaping AND a portion of the front porch that (if stepped on juuust the right way) would give way due to rot.

First up- Rip out the landscaping

Luckily Eric Alvarado was kind enough to let us borrow his truck for this part. Also, getting a farm jack to help pull out bushes helped a lot. After plants were removed, weed barrier went down.

Time for a new porch and railing

Remember that wood you could step through? well that had to go….which means a new porch and railing. While we are at it, we should also replace some of the rotten board on the front of the house.
