….it just is. Especially in a competitive market like the Bay Area. Maureen and I have been struggling a lot lately with our future- we love Alameda but don’t think we can afford to buy here but also want to stop renting so we can build equity.

After two real estate agents, we found a house! It’s a 2-bedroom 1 bathroom home built in 1913. The sellers did NOT do any work to make it look pretty which helped us as we don’t mind some dirty work.

Day 1 was having a “party”……where we put all of our gullible friends to work painting.
