Getting Hitched

I always knew I had to convince Maureen to marry me before she realized how much she was settling. Luckily, I was able to pull it off and on June 22nd, 2019 we got married. It was an incredible day- fun, freinds, family and festivities!

We got married at a place called Fausel Ranch in Placeville, CA. We chose that because it was near the mountains, offered a DIY-approach (in case you didn’t know we are fans of DIY), and was just really pretty….and affordable.

Getting Ready

There was a cool old barn at the top of the hill the guys all got ready in. It was my groomsmen (Drew, Tyler, Shohil) as well as Eric, Raghib and my dad.

Maureen got ready in the bridal quarters.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was lovely- Maureen and I were really excited to have Margaret be the officiant which meant a lot to both of us. Also, I could NOT stop crying!

Some Cool Things

  • Eric was AWSOME and helped us by putting the pamphlets on the chairs….although when he did he realized that the wind was blowing them around so he took it upon himself to be the lone greeter/usher to welcome people, ask them to take a water bottle (we had them custom engraved for the day) and to take a pamphlet
  • We were really happy with the lanterns and table signs we made. Each table had a custom sign that I laser cut relevant to either our relationship or the people at the table (Shasta, Tahoe, etc., or “Frye island”)
  • The food was AWESOME- we found a great Paella guy who did a great job
  • Dancing was……very fun
