Between Tyler and Jess wanting to set up shop in Bend, Oregon and Shohil thinking of moving there, I thought it was a good idea to check it out. So Shohil and I did.’

Wednesday

Have you ever driven to Bend, Oregon from the Bay Area? It takes about 7 hours (9 if I’m driving). That’s what we did Thursday. We grabbed dinner at the Deschutes tap room which was super fun and then checked into a VERY romantic bed & breakfast that Shohil had booked.

Friday we caught up with Jess and Tyler for a hike! It was super fun

Friday

I’ve never been mountain biking before, so Shohil and I rented two bikes and tore up the woods. It was probably the most fun I’ve had in 2018 thus far (don’t tell Maureen)

There’s a brewery every 1/4 mile in bend, so we hit up Crux for dinner and some drinks. They had a SUPER cool fire orb we asked the guy to light.

 

Saturday

On the way in, Shohil and I kept seeing signs for the world-famous high-desert museum outside Bend so we just HAD to go. It turned out to be really cool!

…..For the record, my wingspan is that of a golden eagle which Shohil’s is a mere Turkey Vulture.

We also went hippy-hunting and found one…..wasn’t too hard
