Learning Pottery from Maureen’s Dad

Maureen’s dad is an avid potter (If that’s not the term, no worries- no one reads this blog anyways). I thought it would be cool to spend a day with him learning how to make a mug, so we did!

The pottery wheel. I basically stuck a lump of clay onto it and molded it with my hands until it became something that I wasn’t embaressed to call a “mug”
Tom was nice/patient enough to watch me make 3. I think they got better over time. The next step is to attach the handle and fire them to make it hard.
