Jess’ parents have a timeshare and being the wonderful friend she is, offered to let us stay at it for a week in Tahoe. Tyler and Jess flew in on saturday and Ben on wednesday. i picked up Ben from the airport and headed to Tahoe.
Turns out, it was probably the WORST week of the year in terms of weather…..Heavenly was closed 5/7 days and half open 1 day….bummer. We had fun nonthelesss.
The day that i tried to go skiing, the lifts were out, which didnt stop us from bushwhacking down the slope to find the lodge where we could get passes, hook up with lifts and do the ski thing.
That process resulted in quite possibly the highest overstatement of exteme-ness ever captured on film. Here’s Ben trailblazing down from our room to the lift in about 3-4 feet of snow going about 3-4 MPH:

We got to the bottom of the hill and found that the lodge was closed all day….as were the lifts…..AND THE BAR.
We had some fun playing around in the snowbanks and have snowball fights with strangers before climbing through the snow back up (even slow than coming down).
The next day we went snow shoeing which was a blast
We got a huge (and terrible) Moscow Mule that night at a pizza place
Maureen was able to get up as well and we caught up with Brittany and Dustin who were in town
